Attention Classes of 2005-2009!

Your graduating class is enrolled in a five-way Class Challenge that has the classes of 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 competing against each other to determine who can raise the most money for the BSC Annual Fund.

As an added incentive, members of the BSC Foundation have generously volunteered their own private funds to create a match challenge. By doing so, they will match all new and increased Annual Fund gifts up to $50,000, making the total giving $100,000.

In addition to bragging rights, participants from the winning class will be entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets to the April 1, 2010 Boston Bruins game!

Year after year, the BSC Annual Fund is the most direct way to make a real impact on students' lives. Whether you are supporting the BSC Annual Fund for the first time - or you are increasing your gift from a previous level - we think you will see participating in the Match & Class Challenges is a great opportunity.

]]> Fri, 25 Sep 2009 00:00:00 GMT ID65-181-1007 <![CDATA[Science Center Groundbreaking]]> BSC Breaks Ground on New Math and Science Center


Gov. Deval Patrick joined President Mohler-Faria, and members of the college community, and distinguished guests today to break ground on a $98.7-million Math and Science Center. College and state officials hailed the new complex as a great catalyst in the region for education and technology.

President Mohler-Faria hosted the ceremony in the Rondileau Campus Center ballroom, in front of about 600 people, and called the math and science center "long overdue."

Many at the ceremony spoke about the need for the new center, and called it an investment in future generations.

"We invest in public higher education today to prepare our students for a better tomorrow," Gov. Patrick said. "Bridgewater State is totally committed to creating opportunities for young men and women, and this science building is a fitting example of that.
